EVACUATION CHILDREN
Major type of hazard for children during evacuation -shells, glass, and concrete debris.
Juvenile Prevention by the National Police of Ukraine have applied to Lviv Defense Cluster with the aim of developing and passing protective kits ( class I armor vest + helmet) for evacuating children from war action zones.
Three sizes for age groups: 4-6, 7-10, 11-14 years old.
The model is approved by Juvenile Prevention, certified and tested.
The total of the request is 500 units. The first 30 are being prepared for transfer and testing under evacuation conditions. The total number needed may be up to thousands of units.

Specialists from the Lviv Defense Cluster and the Kharkiv Plant of Personal Protection Equipment were involved in production of the children's bulletproof vest (with the participation of military expert Kalin Dimitrov). Currently, evacuation vests for children are not mass-produced in the world.

Lviv Defence Cluster – the volunteer organization which since the onset of full scale invasion of russia have been coordinating manufacturing and handing over free 80 thousand armor vests to the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Kharkiv Plant of Personal Protective Equipment – 8 years of experience, developement and supply of armor vests and tactical gear for the Ukrainian military and police forces, and for the NATO units as well.
Kalin Dimitrov – expert in military gear and individual ballistic protection. Over 20 years of experience in providing gear for the army and police forces
Child armor vest properties
Cover fabric – Cordura 1000 den and Oxford 600 den (analogous fabrics are used for military armor vests).
Protective element - ultrahigh molecular ballistic polyethylene.
Standards: class 1 DSTU 8782:2018 armor vest; with anti-debris endurance V50 not less than 500 m/s by Stanag 2920 standard.
Helmet by NIJ IIIA standard (military helmet S and M sizes).
